Because precision is not only a top priority for Junghans as a watch manufacturer; it was also an indispensable part of bauhaus student Max Bill’s designs. The clear design of the dial focuses on the most important thing: time.
In 1961, Max Bill designed a series of mechanical wristwatches in collaboration with Junghans, and they still produce these watches virtually unchanged today – from the purist dial with the specially designed, clearly rounded figures, to the vaulted glass that emphasizes the watch’s historic charm.
If they couldn’t improve the design, they could certainly improve both quality and comfort: This watch can now be retrofitted with sapphire glass upon request.
